ROUGE BLAST FURNACE 7-12-07 At 12:00 am this morning, furnace operators opened the bleeders on Blast Furnace C, starting the blowdown sequence for shutdown.  The furnace is scheduled to be replaced in 100 days.  Many tradesmen are working around the clock on the $600 Million project.
